Jennifer Zamparelli lands role in musical at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin this summer

23 April 2025

Jennifer Zamparelli is set to appear in The Rocky Horror Show when the hit musical returns to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin this summer.

The Dancing with the Stars presenter will take on the role of the Narrator for the show's run from 11 to 16 August 2025. She will join Jason Donovan, who reprises his role as Frank N’ Furter following a successful tour in Australia.

Zamparelli and Donovan previously shared the stage in the 2013 Dublin production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Speaking about the role, Zamparelli said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking on the role of the Narrator in the iconic musical The Rocky Horror Show when it comes to Dublin in August. It’s always been a favourite of mine!

"It’s sexy, outrageously funny and it’s going to be so much fun working with such a brilliant cast, including my old pal – the legend that is Jason Donovan!"

Zamparelli is best known for her work on RTÉ’s Republic of Telly, The Fear, and the award-winning sitcom Bridget & Eamon, which she also co-created.

She currently hosts Dancing with the Stars Ireland alongside Doireann Garrihy and previously presented her own radio show on RTÉ 2FM.

Tickets for The Rocky Horror Show are on sale now, with prices starting from €35. For more information, visit www.bordgaisenergytheatre.ie.

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, The Rocky Horror Show has been seen by over 35 million people worldwide and features classics such as Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet and The Time Warp.

Here's an interesting tidbit:

Jennifer Zamparelli's involvement in The Rocky Horror Show marks her return to the stage after a significant break. She stepped down from her radio show on RTÉ 2FM in 2024 to focus on new opportunities. This role as the Narrator is particularly special to her, not just because of her love for the musical, but also because it reunites her with Jason Donovan, with whom she shared the stage in the 2013 production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
