Wendi Backler is a Partner & Director of Innovation Analytics & IP at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She specializes in innovation strategy, intellectual property, and open innovation, helping businesses identify growth opportunities through cutting-edge analytics.

She leads BCG’s Center for Growth & Innovation Analytics, which uses proprietary technologies to map trends, identify partnerships, and fuel business expansion. Over her career, she has advised more than 300 clients across industries such as health sciences, high-tech, automotive, banking, and energy.

Backler holds a Master’s degree in Management from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. She has received multiple academic honors, including the Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
