Mark D. Ein is an American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and civic leader, best known for founding and leading several successful companies in security, sports, and investment. A graduate of the Wharton School and Harvard Business School, Ein launched his career in finance before establishing the Venturehouse Group and Capitol Investment Corp., through which he has taken multiple companies public and served on various corporate boards. He is the Executive Chairman of Kastle Systems, a leader in property technology and security solutions.

Outside of business, Ein has made a significant impact in the world of sports and media. He is the founder and owner of the Washington Kastles, one of the most successful teams in World TeamTennis history, and the Washington Justice, an esports team in the Overwatch League. His passion for tennis also led him to acquire and elevate the Mubadala Citi DC Open, a major professional tennis tournament in the U.S. capital. Additionally, Ein owns the Washington City Paper, a well-known alternative weekly publication.

Ein is deeply involved in civic initiatives and public service. He serves as Chairman of the President’s Export Council and has played leading roles in educational and philanthropic organizations, such as the DC Public Education Fund and the DC College Access Program. His efforts to uplift Washington, D.C., through both private enterprise and public service have earned him numerous accolades, including induction into the Washington Business Hall of Fame and the Jefferson Award for public service.
