Marielle Segarra is a journalist and radio host best known today as the host of NPR’s Life Kit, where she offers research‑backed advice on health, money, relationships, and everyday life skills. She joined NPR in 2022 after nearly six years at Marketplace, where she reported on business and economic stories and occasionally filled in as host.

Segarra’s career began in print journalism, working as an editor and staff writer at CFO Magazine, covering growth companies, corporate strategy, and financial topics. She transitioned into radio at WHYY in Philadelphia, where she reported on urban policy, infrastructure, and the challenges facing distressed Pennsylvania cities.
