Kenny Dunn

Kenny Dunn is the founder and CEO of Eating Europe, a pioneering culinary tour company that transforms travel into intimate cultural storytelling. Originally from Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania, Kenny studied marketing and finance at Penn State, later earning a master’s in development management from American University. His early career in event marketing saw him leading campaigns for Fortune 500 giants like AT&T and Citibank.

But it was a move to Rome in 2009—following his wife’s posting at the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization—that reshaped his path. Wandering backstreets and sharing meals with friends, Kenny discovered that food wasn’t just sustenance—it was memory, connection, and narrative. In 2011, he founded Eating Italy Food Tours, which soon expanded across Europe as Eating Europe, offering immersive, non-touristy experiences in cities like London, Prague, Florence, and Amsterdam.

Kenny’s tours are built on emotional architecture: introducing travelers to local characters like Armando the gelato maker or Flavio the carbonara chef, each dish served with a story. His work has been featured in The New York Times, BBC, Forbes, and Lonely Planet, and his company has welcomed over 80,000 guests with thousands of glowing reviews.

Behind the brand is a personal journey of transformation—Kenny has also spoken openly about overcoming addiction and embracing sobriety, adding depth and resilience to his story.
