Joanne Cronin is an Irish food writer and blogger with over 10 years of experience in the industry. She specializes in restaurant reviews, sharing insights on her Instagram account @joanne.cronin, and promoting Irish food and drink through @irishfoodscene.

She has contributed to multiple publications, including the Irish Times, House & Home, and various leading Irish food guides and podcasts. Additionally, she has been commissioned to produce independent assessment reports for restaurants.

Originally from Cork, Joanne grew up on a dairy farm in the Muskerry Gaeltacht, where she developed a strong appreciation for home baking, jam making, and vegetable growing. She now lives in Dublin but remains deeply connected to her Cork roots.

Beyond food writing, Joanne is a Director in technology consulting for a leading professional services firm. She holds a PhD in Semiconductor Physics and a BSc in Physics from University College Cork, as well as a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines.

She has also been involved in restaurant judging, contributing her expertise to various food and hospitality awards.
