I am a freelance writer, editor and researcher with a background in biology, education and food science. I have more than 20 years’ experience creating and editing online and magazine content on a range of topics, including medicine, horticulture, consumer issues and food sustainability. In the past, I have taught ‘A’ level chemistry and biology and continue to do online tutoring.

My particular areas of expertise and interest are alternative proteins and food sustainability, which, when possible, I like to link with my enduring passion for education.

Currently I create digital content for the website Protein Report, which aims to promote responsible communication in the alt-protein space. I am also editing a textbook on cellular agriculture, and am on the committee of the non-profit organization Cellular Agriculture UK.
