Insurance Europe is the European insurance and reinsurance federation, representing national insurance associations across Europe. It plays a key role in shaping regulatory policies, advocating for the industry, and ensuring a stable and competitive insurance market within the EU. The federation works closely with European institutions to address challenges such as climate resilience, digital transformation, and consumer protection.

The current Director General of Insurance Europe is Thea Utoft Høj Jensen. She has extensive experience in EU financial services policy, having previously worked as a senior managing director at FTI Consulting and as a financial services counsellor for Denmark at the EU. She holds a Master of Arts in Law from the University of Copenhagen.

Insurance Europe also collaborates with global organizations, including the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA), where it contributes to discussions on international insurance regulations and market stability. Michaela Koller, who has been involved in various EU advisory groups, has also served as Director General of Insurance Europe.
