Heather Haddon is a veteran journalist currently serving as a restaurant reporter for The Wall Street Journal, based in the Chicago bureau. Since joining the Journal in October 2011, she has built a reputation for high-impact business reporting, with a primary focus on food retail, the grocery business, and major industry players like McDonald's, Starbucks, and Kraft Heinz. Outside of her professional reporting, she is known as an avid soup-maker, piano-player, and bike-rider.

Before transitioning to her current food and agriculture beat in Chicago, Haddon spent several years in the Journal's New York office covering politics and regional affairs.
