Felicity Cloake is an English food and travel writer, best known for her "How to Cook the Perfect..." column in The Guardian. Born in 1982 or 1983, she grew up in Hertfordshire and studied English at St Peter's College, Oxford.

Her writing career began at The Oxford Student, and she later became a columnist for The Guardian and New Statesman. Cloake has authored several books, including Completely Perfect, One More Croissant for the Road, and Red Sauce, Brown Sauce: A British Breakfast Odyssey.

She is recognized for her meticulous recipe testing, blending historical research, culinary science, and storytelling to create definitive versions of classic dishes. In 2019, she cycled 3,500 km across France in search of the perfect croissant, documenting her journey in a travelogue.
