Evelyn O’Rourke is a seasoned Irish broadcaster and journalist who has been a prominent voice at RTÉ since 1998. Born in Dublin in the early 1970s, she studied Drama and English at Trinity College Dublin, which laid the foundation for her dynamic career in media.

Over the years, Evelyn has worked across a wide range of RTÉ radio and television programmes, including Liveline, Morning Ireland, Drivetime, and Today with Claire Byrne. She’s also known for her work on The Arts Show, The Gerry Ryan Show, and Operation Transformation.

In 2014, she published a best-selling memoir titled Dear Ross, chronicling her personal journey through a cancer diagnosis while pregnant. She’s a fluent Irish speaker and has contributed to TG4 as well, showcasing her versatility across both English and Irish-language broadcasting.

As of February 2024, Evelyn was appointed Arts and Media Correspondent for RTÉ News, succeeding Sinéad Crowley. In this role, she covers Ireland’s vibrant cultural landscape and the evolving media industry, bringing insightful stories to audiences across digital, radio, and television platforms.
