The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) is at the forefront of advancing clean energy and sustainable transportation solutions. With a strong commitment to fostering innovation, EIT plays a critical role in developing hydrogen-powered mobility technologies that contribute to a greener future.

Through EIT Urban Mobility, the institute explores the viability of hydrogen fuel cell technology in urban transport, assessing market trends, infrastructure requirements, and funding opportunities. Notable projects like EVARM, which converts diesel minibuses into hydrogen-powered vehicles, and H2TowTractor, which develops hydrogen retrofit kits for logistics hubs, exemplify EIT’s dedication to zero-emission transport solutions.

Additionally, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, supported by EIT, has helped deploy over 1,300 fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) and 400 fuel cell electric buses (FCEBs) across Europe. This large-scale initiative is fostering the development of a pan-European hydrogen refueling network, ensuring efficient access to clean energy for transportation.

By investing in hydrogen-powered mobility and collaborating with industry leaders, EIT continues to drive forward cutting-edge innovations, shaping the future of sustainable transport and clean energy technologies.
