David E. Sanger is an award-winning journalist and the chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times, where he has reported on foreign policy, national security, and global affairs since 1982. Over his career, he has been part of three Pulitzer Prize-winning teams, recognized for investigative reporting on topics ranging from nuclear proliferation to cyber warfare2.

Sanger has authored several books, including The Perfect Weapon: War, Sabotage, and Fear in the Cyber Age, which explores the rise of cyber conflict, and New Cold Wars: China’s Rise, Russia’s Invasion, and America’s Struggle to Defend the West. His reporting has uncovered major geopolitical developments, including the U.S.-Israeli cyberattack on Iran’s nuclear program, known as Stuxnet.
