Founded in 2017 by Portuguese journalist António Buscardini, it was later taken over by Pascal Goergen, a former diplomat for the Brussels-Capital Region. The platform provides news, culture, lifestyle, business, and entertainment content, catering to expats, Brussels residents, and international audiences.

Brussels Express aims to promote a positive and dynamic image of Brussels, highlighting its cosmopolitan character, cultural diversity, and business vitality. Since late 2024, it has expanded to include interviews, portraits, quizzes, and a multilingual section called Babel Hub, allowing people to express themselves in their own language.
