Anna Zanes is a prominent figure in the media industry, currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Alternative Press. She joined Alternative Press in 2022, bringing a fresh perspective and new sensibility to the publication.

Anna's career in media began in 2016 as an Online Editor at Office Magazine, where she later became the Managing Editor. She also worked as the Co-Gallery Director at Red Hook Labs and was involved with Hester Street Fair in 2017. In 2018, she joined BLKMKT MUSIC as part of the BLKMKT Media team.

In 2023, Anna took on the role of Executive Editor at ENTtech Media Group/PAPER, although the magazine folded three months into her tenure. Despite this setback, she quickly transitioned to Alternative Press, where she has been instrumental in revitalizing the magazine's digital strategies and expanding its online presence.

Anna studied Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs at the California Institute of the Arts. Her diverse background and experience in both fashion and music media have made her a key player in shaping the voice and direction of Alternative Press.
