Adrianna Wrona is a multi-media reporter with the Irish Independent, where she covers both Irish and international news with a sharp focus on human interest and social issues. Since joining the newsroom in August 2023, she’s become known for her on-the-ground reporting and her contributions as a researcher for The Indo Daily podcast. Her storytelling often highlights the lived experiences of individuals and communities, bringing empathy and nuance to complex topics.

Originally from Poland, Adrianna earned her journalism degree from the University of Wroclaw before relocating to Dublin in 2021 to pursue a master’s in sociology at University College Dublin. Her academic background in social sciences informs her journalistic lens, allowing her to explore the deeper societal forces behind the headlines. While studying, she began her media career with an internship at RTÉ Radio 1, later contributing to several of the broadcaster’s current affairs programmes.

Fluent in both English and Polish, Adrianna brings a cross-cultural perspective to her reporting. Her work spans everything from political developments and public safety to cultural events and environmental issues. Whether she’s covering a major festival or investigating policy impacts, Adrianna’s journalism is marked by curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to truth-telling.
